Incredible Manual Lymph Drainage!

We Got The Pictures.

Manual lymph drainage (MLD) and it's profound effects on health, beauty and anti aging has been enjoyed by Europeans for many decades. MLD is not a massage therapy in the traditional sense. Massage is directed towards the musculo-skeletal system, MLD addresses the lymphatic system and it's pathways. The human body contains between 500 and 700 lymph nodes and these are directly part of our bodies waste sanitation system. The lymph are just under the surface of the skin and require a very light pumping action to move them along. The aim is to promote the lymph flow not cut it off with deeper strokes. Originally developed by Dr's. Emil and Estrid Vodder for the treatment of chronic sinusitis and other immune disorders in the 1930's, MLD according to Massage Magazine is now the third fastest growing modality in the bodywork industry. With continued research confirming what the Vodder's have extensively researched and taught,

we now know your lymph are a key component to your immune system.

A healthy, viable lymph system means that your body can drain out foreign invaders, toxins and waste products so you heal much faster.

Throughout your body there is a virtual road map where the lymph travel and move.

Some of the pathways carrying lymph are like smaller side streets in your home neighborhood, others are like larger routes and there are a few main roads and superhighways. If you know the roads and pathways, the special strokes used in MLD can dramatically speed up the removal of the bodies wastes. This can be especially powerful when the body is overwhelmed with health and nutrition challenges or to prepare for surgery and specifically to speed healing post op. Lymph transports at a speed of 10-12 beats per minute. When you have more waste products (pollutants, tobacco, chemical exposure, excess fats, sugars, alcohol), the lymph system can be especially burdened and travel (detox) can be hampered. To speed up the system or as it is called the lymphangiomotoricity; exercise, diet and breathing exercises can really help and

an actual 50 minute MLD session can speed up the process by a factor of 10-12 times!

Thus massage therapists trained in MLD can significantly help drain the bodies wastes, clearing up many conditions and boosting the overall immune system and especially the bodies healing capacity. For instance imagine how effective MLD could be for addressing allergies, ear and throat infections or lymph vessels that are simply engorged by holiday, dietary over consumption. MLD can drain the excess efficiently. That's why MLD is now on the menu for weight loss, allergies, cystic breasts, eczema, diabetic neuropathy, cellulite minimization, fibromyalgia, detox and anti aging to name a few.

In Germany, every health practitioner learns MLD as part of their education and it's an intricate part of the entire health care system.

When it comes to surgery, five MLD sessions before and five sessions after are the standard recommendation. Some patients may be reluctant to pay the extra amount for these ten MLD sessions. That's understandable especially when paying for cosmetic surgical procedures out of pocket. But remember MLD clears the drainage pathways promoting and speeding up healing and recovery.

The number one surgical procedure in the United States is liposuction.

On occasion a lymph gland during this procedure can get damaged making healing and recovery much more difficult. That's why MLD is so, so, important.

Take a look at our first two pictures;

both pictures week two, post op.

The gal in the first picture did not have any pre or post op MLD sessions.

The gal in the second picture had the prescribed five before and five after!

Below: The second set of pictures after face-lift.

The Difference is Measurable (2 days post op surgery) before/after

manual lymph drainage. First pic is day one.

Second pic is 24 hours later after MLD.

Face-lift before Manual Lymph Drainage

Face-lift scarring after Manual Lymph Drainage

The third set of pictures shows gal who received liposuction without pre or post op MLD. Same gal one month later after prescribed MLD.

Liposuction before Manual Lymph Drainage

Liposuction after Manual Lymph Drainage

This set of pics shows just a couple MLD sessions after surgery.

Notice how quickly healing speeds up with post surgical MLD

The only thing more amazing then the pictures below is that IT WAS ONLY 4 DAYS of MLD. Her doctors follow up states the patient was at 4 months recovery time with just 4 days of MLD. The swelling went down 23 centimeters by the fourth session!

Now that's lymphangiomotoricity at it's best.

"Manual lymphatic drainage (MLD) is a painless, non-invasive massage that can unclog lymphatic vessels that drain the surgical tissues to expedite healing. It can help reduce bruising and swelling as well as soften lumps and scars."

Anita Mandal, M.D., Board Certified Plastic Surgeon

"All aesthetic and reconstructive plastic surgery patients prefer a short postoperative recovery phase leading to a return to normal activity and sensation of the operated areas. As surgeons, we see patients that have prolonged post operative swelling and soft tissue fibrosis that can take as long as eighteen months to resolve. Manual Lymph drainage (MLD) was evaluated as a possible adjunct in the post operative care of a series of patients having aesthetic and reconstructive plastic surgery. The question of whether or not MLD shortened the recovery phase of these patients was answered."

"In the ten groups listed who underwent MLD and deep tissue massage, post operative swelling and fibrosis resolved within 6 weeks to 3 months, thereby shortening their recovery significantly."

Laurie A. Casas, M.D., FACS

Asst. Professor of Surgery , Northwestern University Medical School

It's simple... when you clear the waste passageways,  the body dramatically speeds healing and recovery.  The man that originally brought Manual Lymph Drainage to the United States from Germany and created the first educational training program in our country was renown Surgeon/Physician, Dr. Robert Lerner.

For those old enough to remember, before there was the famed Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation, it was called the Kessler/Lerner Institute.

The facilities became world famous because Dr. Lerner taught manual lymph drainage to the entire staff and the MLD got patients better in record time!

Lerner originally opened MLD offices in NY, NJ and Florida. Eventually his Florida office became his main headquarters and training facility. So not only did Dr. Lerner have the first school but also the first working MLD facility in the nation. For decades that office and school was called the Manual Lymph Drainage Institute and was run by his chief instructor, office manager and eventual successor, Elisa DiFalco, M.S., O.T., LMT.

Ms. DiFalco is the number one MLD instructor in the United States and my school, The North Jersey Massage Training Center has become the Northeast Headquarters for Ms. DiFalco and her famous Manual Lymph Drainage Institute!

All of our New Jersey Massage therapists are being trained in this extremely important, cutting edge therapy,

MANUAL LYMPH DRAINAGE!

We now have Bachelor and Master Level Certification in MLD in New Jersey!

Check our school calendar for the two day Foundations, five day Bachelors Level Certification and now our new Masters Level Certification.

Just FYI, the next Five Day certification will be January 21st to 25th, 2019.
