8 4 2020 Hatha Yoga with Flow with Alison attention on hips hamstrings IT Band

Hamstrings and IT bands can get really tight either from not stretching them or from over working them in a spin class, a weighted sculpting class, or bending over and working in your garden. Alison gives great attention to these tight muscles in today's class. Ease into these poses. Remember, your body is like a rubber band. You want to stretch the rubber band but you do not want to snap it. Those hips will feel so much better after class!

8 2 2020 Vinyasa Flow with Tabitha (neck, shoulders, back)

Tabitha teaches this class focusing on the neck, shoulders, and back. Opening up the joints and stretching and lengthening the muscles. These are the muscles that really tight sitting at a desk all day or just sitting and reading a book or texting your friend. At end of the class, take notice how free the upper body feels. Enjoy!

10 20 2020 Yoga 101 with Nadia

Nadia takes you through a guided Hatha Class that has a slow flow to it. Nadia loves to offer yoga to everyone, to everyBODY. She gives modifaction and variations throughout so that a beginner and an advanced yogi can take yoga. The end of class has a very calming and relaxing savasana. It is a great class to do in the evening to help with having a good night sleep. Enjoy.

10 17 2020 Alignment Based Yoga with Alison, Balance, Balance, Balance

Alison focuses on three standing poses in this class. Standing poses are GREAT for balance. As we age, balance becomes more challenging. Taking time to practice improving our balance is so rewarding. Take it slow. If you fall out of the balance, just come back to it. Don't worry. We need to fall sometimes to show us that we can pick ourselves up and move forward. We learn from the experience.

Alison asks participating clients what they would like to work on today. One client requests hips. Another client requests shoulders. Alison agrees and says, "we will work on all four corners, 2 shoulders and 2 hips coming up". Alison always aims to please. Enjoy!

 

 

10 18 2020 Fall Vinyasa Power Flow with Tabitha

This is a power flow yoga class taught by Tabitha and is designed to get the body ready (from summer) to accept going into the  fall and winter months. The blood needs to thicken to keep the body warm as the seasons change and this yoga class revs up the system moving and flowing with our powerful breathe. Enjoy and listen to your body. Always feel free to modify or to skip a vinyasa.

 

 

10 13 2020 Yoga 101 with Nadia

Nadia always brings extensive knowledge to her class guiding you with how the universe is acting and how it will affect you in the coming days and weeks. Nadia likes to get feedback on how you are feeling and she guides the class accordingly. Her evening yoga has a quiet meditation at the end of class to help bring you to a restful sleep. This class is great for stressfull days or if you are feeling a little anxious or have some anxiety.

 

8 10 2020 Self Care Part 1 foam roller, blocks, balls with Alison and kathy

Alison and Kathy work together and demostrate how to stretch out tight spots in your body using different props like a foam roller, blocks, and balls. Be careful how you place your weight on these props. Work gradually. Do not force anything to stretch beyond what feels correct in your body. Listen to what your body is telling you. Kathy always says "think of your body like a rubber band. We want to stretch the rubber band but we do not want to snap the rubber band. The same holds true for our bodies."

In this class, Tabitha keeps us moving in a Vinyasa flow to warm up the body and then she takes us to the floor on our belly and guides us through back strengthening poses (Ardha Salabhasana and Dhanurasana). These poses have so many benefits beside strengthening the back, they help improve digestion and help to lengthen and open up the front body. Join Tabitha for an exhilarating class.

Lauren takes you through a vinyasa flow guiding you through every movement. Lauren makes sure your alignment is correct as you allow your mind and body connect and focus. She also guides you through a deep meditative savasana conecting your heart, spirit, and mind together as one...the union of yoga. You will feel great after this class.

8 27 2020 Hatha Yoga with Alison attention to SIS joint, IT Band, TFL, piriformis muscle.

Alison will help you to stretch these areas (SIS joint, IT Band/outer thigh, and TFL/ outer thigh) of concern which causes tightness in the lower back and hamstrings) during this class.

Nadia talks about the physical and emotional energy right now in the universe and how we should stay positive and not judge ourselves but be kind to ourselves and to one another. Stay grounded. 7 14 2020 Hatha Yoga with Alison all about the psoas muscles

At the beginning of this class, Alison tells us how to stretch out and lengthen the psoas muscles . Great advice for all of us who suffer from tight quads, a sore low back, and a tilted spine. Lengthening and elongating the psoas muscles help us to stand up tall and it definitely improves our  posture. Helping us to look and feel young. Enjoy this conversation about the psoas. After class there is conversation about the piriformis muscle and how to stretch it.

7 13 2020 Hatha Yoga with Flow with Alison

In this yoga class, Alison concentrates on the breath and on opening up the Psoas Muscles. You know those tight lower abdominal / hip muscles that when they get too tight they pull us forward and cause undue stress on the lower back and can make us feel really uncomfortable. You will feel long and elongated after this class. Enjoy.

Alison's unique talent  guides you through a Hatha flow allowing  your mind to focus on the present. Alison gives you step by step instruction as to where to place your hands, feet, and torso getting you into these poses/asanas safely. Thus, feeling accomplished and satisfied.

This class is all about finding the strength in your abdominals and using them for balance. Balance can always be a challenge so do your best. If you fall out of the balance, just shake out the body and come back into it. Be patient with yourself. Balance is so important as we age. This is a good video to do often. 

5 28 2020 Hatha Yoga with a Flow with Alison & Self MLD (Manual Lymph Drainage with Kathy)

This yoga class is led by Alison who mixes a great doable flow with exceptional stretches for the body. She is so good. She warms up the body first, then she heats up the body to find the ultimate stretch at the end.  

To end a great class, Kathy leads everyone to do self Manual Lymph Drainage to themselves. MLD helps keep the body's immune system healthy and strong especially during this time of uncertainty.

5 26 2020 Yoga 101 followed by Chakra Balancing with Nadia

It's the evening and clients are feeling a need to move and stretch but yet calm the body and mind for a restful night sleep. This is a good yoga session  right before bed. Nadia takes you through a clearing and balancing sequence of the chakras at the end during your savasana. Namaste.

5 13 2020 Yoga with Tabitha/ Great Shoulder Opener

Join Tabitha as she gives a great yoga class with focus and concentration on opening up the shoulders, chest, and back. Giving you an easier range of movement and mobility to those upper body muscles that have a tendency to over work when you sit at a desk all day looking into the computer or if those muscles have been worked out and feel a little on the tight side.

BARRE

8 4 2020 Barre Intensity with Kathy attitude lifts front back side

Kathy works you out in the small V position lifting those legs in a bent position (in ballet it is called an attitude). Inner ankle bones lift to the front, knee caps lift to the side towards your arm pit, and the outside ankle bones lift up when lifting the bent leg to the back. We are working those inner and outer thighs. Yeah! They can always use toning.

7 23 2021 Barre Intensity with Kathy using two weights in one hand

It's Friday so this class is 45 mins jammed back with lots of goodies like working with both weights in 1 hand and jumping over puddles and squat jumps. Get ready for an active barre class. Always work at your own fitness level and enjoy!

Kathy keeps you moving during this workout today. Kathy uses the ball today along with light weights in class today. Feel the resistance between your arms and legs with the ball. You waist line and abs will feel this workout the day after. Have a great class.

Kathy offers a different view point facing a different way for you to see the body positions and she also uses more of a jazzy piece of music for class today. You will really feel those legs working as she faces the barre and starts with low deep knee bends and then hinges forward into a lunge to mimick a chair position. Planks are used to really feel those abs today. Don't let the music fool you. This is a great workout. You will feel it afterwards. 🙂

10 9 2020 Barre Intensity with Kathy a liitle Rock and Roll

Kathy offers a lot of thigh pulsing really working the legs today and a little rock and roll of the hips during the arm workout just to shake it up a bit. Work at your own pace. Watch those abdominals and lower back in the plank section. Draw those ribs and abs in towards the back body reaching breastbone forward and heels back to create a long line and really using those abs. Always feel free to lower those knees to the floor during the plank section if you feel any stress on the lower back.

9 26 2020 Barre Intensity with Kathy super leg workout

Kathy delivers a great leg barre routine today working both the standing and extended leg at the same time. Feel the burn. Upper body works hard too as well as those abs in the plank section. Always feel free to set the weights down and or put your knees down in the plank routine. Keeping in mind that this is your workout. Listen to your body and do what feels good. Enjoy the class.

Kathy delivers a kick ass workout today in honor of one of her favorite women, Ruth Bader Ginsberg. "I feel this woman was an inspiration to all women. With a clear focus on never giving up on your dreams, she felt that your voice should always be heard." This workout is dynamic and it includes Rhuthie's favorite exercise the PLANK.  Have fun and sweat a lot.

9 17 2020 Barre Intensity with Heather

Heather delivers a barre class filled with great intensity for the body. Those abs, thighs, glutes, and arms,  yes you will feel them. Have fun working all those body parts.

9 14 2020 Barre Intensity with Kathy (chair work parallel)

Since we are at home and not everyone has a stationary bar to do chair work, kathy has you bringing your hips back like a squat and hinging the upper body forward with heels lifted to imitate a chair position. Knees are over ankle joints vs. lengthening foreward over the toes like a knee bend. You should feel this in upper thighs and glutes. Ouchy! 🙂 Enjoy the work.

9 3 2020 Barre Intensity with Heather, let's change up the order a bit!

Heather offers a different sequence of class today. All the good stuff that barre offers: upper body, legs including quads and hamstrings, abdomimals, and glutes. 

However,  she puts a twist on the sequence making it fresh and challenging.

 

8 29 2020 Barre Intensity with Kathy Plank work used as abdominal sequence in this class

Kathy teaches some new plank work offered by Barre Intensity Corporate. Always feel free to modify the planks by putting your knees down to the mat or coming down onto your elbows. Always take a childs pose to rest and stretch out the arms and wrists if needed. Kathy follows the theme of the leg making a rainbow movement in the plank work to be used at the barre for the  lower body leg work (quads, hamstrings and glutes).

Just a reminder that when the legs are lifting that are working parallel. Knee cap facing forward or straight down to the floor. Kathy has that ballerina turn out so the legs look a little turned out but the work is parallel. Ok. You want to feel those glutes, hamstrings. and quads really working.

 

5 29 2020 Barre Intensity Class with Kathy

In this class we work parallel a good portion of the class. Because we are at home and not everyone has acess to a strong barre apparatus, we will stay doing our knee bends balanced over our heels and thighs lengthening forward. We will take them to a deeper knee bend bringing thigh bones  just  parallel to floor if your body and knees allow this range of motion. If this is too deep for your knees please make the movment smaller. Remember to always work within the architecture of your body and how your body feels. Let's sweat and have fun.

 

PILATES

10 20 2020 Mat Pilates with Lauren

Lauren teaches a complete overall Mat Pilates class covering all body parts including front and back muscles of the body. You will be working hard. 🙂

9 8 2020 Mat Pilates with Lauren and Meadow the new pup

In this class, Lauren concentrates on the obliques. The abdominal muscles that lie underneath the ribs that help us turn side to side and  forward across the body. She adds nice stretches throughout this class to help lengthen the body as we strengthen the body. That is the whole concept of Pilates. To stengthen what is weak and to stretch what is too tight while finding the balance between strenght and flexibility in the body.

7 14 2020 Mat Pilates with Lauren

OIE! Lauren really finds those abdominal muscles in this class. Oh! and don't forget those Pilates leg routines. Very challenging to find the stabilization of the hips to find maximum rotation of the legs. Lauren ends with a real nice stretch.

5 21 2020 Mat Pilates with Lauren and Willow the Pup

Lauren guides you through another great Mat Pilates Class with the help of baby Willow.. How we love our pets and how they help to comfort us during this time. We keep the video live so that clients can ask Lauren questions throughout the class. Mat Pilates is always so challenging just to find the correct muscles and to recruit those muscles. Try to avoid any tension in the neck, shoulders, and front of the thighs. Mat Pilates is an abdominal and back strengthener especially while we are at home and are on the computer and phone more often. Enjoy.

CARDIO

8 26 2020 Cardio Scuplt with Kathy broom, strap, weights, support barre

Kathy uses props that she found at home in this cardio sculpt class. She uses a broom as if she had a body bar in her hands to help simulate standing abs, free weights to increase upper body strength, and a wall to sit up against to find isometric strength in a wall squat combined with weights. This is a great strengthening workout. Watch that lower back in the ab workout on the floor. Kathy keeps her legs lifted to support and protect the lower back. If your abs are strong, feel free to lower the legs a bit to challenge those abs. Always remembering to exhale as the legs lower away from the body and on the exhalation, remember to connect the front ribs to the lower back rib cage finding length in the abs. Have fun!

 

8 18 2020 Cardio Sculpt with Kathy work that body

Another mix of Kathy's favorite tunes to work out too. Body sculpting mixed with low impact cardio movement. It is easy to follow and to build on. Always feel free to take it up by jumping the low impact or just keep the movement low to the floor.

 

10 7 2020 Cardio Sculpt with Kathy. We are moving and grooving today.

This cardio sculpt keeps us moving and grooving to the beat of the music. Music is provided by Kathy's favorite fitness music company "Power Music Now" title track Best of 2019. Kathy mixes up the cardio sections with great sculpting technique sections for the arms and legs. These two combinations makes this 55 min workout a complete body workout and it's fun too. Enjoy!

Kathy calls this style of class a good old fashion exercise class. It has a mix of low impact cardio movements sprinkled in with lots of sculpting exercises good for the upper and lower body to help tone and strengthen the entire body. Kathy is still subbing for Debra! We hope Debra is having a great vacation while we plow through these workouts without our fearless leader! 🙂
Kathy builds on the workout from Monday. She switches the anaerobic lunge jumps to squat jumps and some jogging too! We do 30 burbees instead of 25 so we are ready when Debra comes back. We are still squating against the wall so have a vacant wall or chair available to slide down and hold in a parallel squat or just sit on a chair and hold a nice tight position. Most of all, have fun during this workout.

Debra is on vacation so Kathy is filling in today. kathy likes to keep you moving so get ready. 5 14 2021 6 WEEK SUMMER BODY SHRED with Kathy

TGIF!!! It's Friday Class #4 ! How are you doing? Debra is out today. Kathy is filling in for her. Kathy likes to keep moving throughout the class. Always take breaks when you need it. Sip water when you need it okay. Work at your pace. Always remember this is your class. We are your guide and motivators.
Always feel free to take it up or keep the class at a moderate pace. Watch your joints on the fast paced arm workouts. Feel like your moving through water using your own body resistance. Okay. Most important is to enjoy the workout!

How are we doing ? Are you feeling those muscles come back to life? Yeah!
Ann teaches a slightly different format today to give you some variety . Ann gives great cues on alignment. Try to mirror her body to really get the most out of the exercise. Feel free to pause the video and practice the move in the mirror and then come back to the video. Remember practice makes better!

5 12 2021 6 WEEK SUMMER BODY SHRED WITH DEBRA

CLASS #2 . It is Wednesday everyone and here we are 2nd class into the program. Are you sore from Monday's first class? If you were somewhat sedentary during the past year, please take the modifications that Debra gives for each exercise and do them. You are still moving and getting yourself into better shape. By the end of the 6 weeks I bet you will be doing the jump squats! Enjoy class everybody!

 

5 10 2021 6 WEEK SUMMER BODY SHRED CLASS 1

Welcome to the first class of the 6-WEEK BODY SHRED PROGRAM. This class is taught by our master trainer, Debra. Since it is the first, please take it easy. Work at your own pace and enjoy.

Kathy forgot to press the record button at the begining so there is no recorded warm-up. Please do some shoulder rolls, lunges, and an easy jog in place just to heat the body up before you begin this work out okay. Most important, please listen to the cues. They will help you do the exercises correctly.
